         Affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain through the 

Northern Counties Photographic Federation

CONSTITUTIONAL RULES OF THE CLUB

1.              The club is called the Gateshead Camera Club

2.              The object of the Club is to encourage the study and practice of photography by holding regular meetings for lecturers and competitions.

3.              The membership of the club is open to all interested persons who can attend to join on any Club evening and has two categories of membership: -

a)              New Member

b)              Member

4.              A Committee comprising of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Competition Secretaries, Syllabus Secretary, Social Secretary and two other members, will conduct the business of the Club. A quorum will consist of not less than five committee members.

5.              The Committee and Auditor will be elected at each Annual General Meeting for the following season.

6.              Subscription fees will be determined at the Annual General Meeting for the following season and should be paid during the first four weeks of the season. Members must have paid subscriptions to be eligible to enter competitions.

7.              The Treasurer is responsible for the collection and disposal of all money on behalf of the Club. Committee members may claim expenses for any expenditure actually incurred on Club business.

8.              The Secretary will keep minutes of the Annual General Meeting and Committee Meetings and is empowered to call a meeting whenever necessary.

9.              Should the possibility of dissolution of the Club arise an Extra Ordinary General Meeting of all members shall be called.

10.           COMPETITION RULES: -

1.          Rules for the various competitions are decided upon at the AGM.

2.          Subject Themes for these competitions are decided upon prior to the AGM.

3.         Details of the competitions both for the Club and NCPF may be obtained from the Competition Secretaries.

4.          Payment of the Club Subscription is a condition of entry to all competitions.

5.          All images submitted must be entirely the work of the competitor.
