Exploring Newcastle/Gateshead and using Public Transport. Going with the bare minimum of camera kit, one camera body one lens either a nifty 50 or something like a 24-70, a spare battery or a smart phone no big camera bags or large tripods needed.

Using a Metro Day Ticket that covers buses ferries etc (Not DFDS to Sweden) travelling light. A pub Lunch and afternoon coffee.

We met at Gateshead Interchange and decided on a plan and the first hurdle was for some of us to navigate the ticket machine thankfully the younger generation stepped up to the mark and we had a some good advice. We headed off to St James Park and after a look around and a coffee we jumped on the Metro to Whitley Bay where we refuelled in Greggs wandered aimlessly around Spanish City before resuming our travel to Tynemouth refreshed ourselves with an Ice cream and a Libation. On the route back 2 were lost and hopefully they made it home. A good day, some good craic and the odd photo.

Some images from those who wandered aboot.
